The regular board meeting of the Village of Wilmette, Illinois was held on Nov. 10.

After roll call and selecting Trustee Cameron Krueger as President Pro Tem to preside over the meeting, the board moved on to public comments. Several Wilmette residents spoke against the proposed development at 1925 Wilmette Ave., expressing concerns with storm water, flooding and due diligence with the project management. A neighbor to the project spoke favorably of the development and in favor of a diverse environment. As the project is in the Planned Unit Development process, there is time for the public to make comments at the Plan Commission meeting on Dec. 1.

After public comments were made, the board moved on to the consent agenda, approving the Oct. 27 meeting minutes, the Zoning Board of Appeals Oct. 7 minutes, the temporary use permit for A La Carte, and zoning variations for 930 Greenleaf Ave., 1519 Washington Ave., and 1195 Wilmette Ave. The 3023 variance request was tabled to Nov. 24.

Other items approved in the regular agenda included the October disbursement report, a membership agreement for a Geographic Information System Consortium and the Walgreens application for a Class I liquor license. Also approved were contracts with Municipal GIS Partners, Inc.; Carus Corp.; Alexander Chemical Corp., USALCO, LLC.; Rowell Chemical Corp.; Daniel Creaney Co. and Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd.

Introduced to the board were the ordinances approving the 2016 FY budget; amending the Village code chapters 5, 9 and 16 regarding permit, license and pavement degradation fees and amending Chapter 18 regarding water fees.

The review of short-term rental regulations and the review of the R2, attached residence zoning district, and the townhouse/stacked flat use requirements were referred to the Land Use Committee.

The board then adjourned to an executive session to discuss the sale or lease of real estate. After returning from the executive session, the board meeting was adjourned.
