Schaumburg Business Association announces December calendar of events

The Schaumburg Business Association presents a busy calendar of events for members and visitors in the month of December.

Successful events already accomplished this month include the Fall Entrepreneurial Update and Breakfast, held on December 2, and the Manufacturer's Summit at Mazak Corporation, also on December 2, which was sold out, with no walk-in spaces available.

Meet and greet fellow entrepreneurs and business associates at Business After Hours on December 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Bring plenty of business cards to Prism Healthcare Services, 1337 Basswood Rd. Admission is free for SBA members and $30 for guests.

Enjoy breakfast while catching up with the year-end recap, networking and election of SBA officers at Holiday Good Morning Schaumburg. Add a little comedy to spice up the meeting at Improv of Schaumburg, 5 Woodfield Mall, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on December 8. Admission is $25 for SBA members, $35 per guest and $150 for a display table.

The SBA is looking forward to three ribbon cuttings in December. Verizon Wireless celebrates its new location at 1251 E. Higgins Rd. from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on December 8. Gather at the Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery on Dec. 10 at 951 W. Wise Rd., from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Kinfork Restaurant ribbon cutting is on December 15 from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at 5 Woodfield Dr. E109.

Sip on a complementary drink at the third annual Best Martini in the 'Burbs Challenge on December 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Drink Nightclub, 871 E. Algonquin Rd. The $15 admission includes the free drink, appetizers, martini samples and a goodie bag.

Join other new SBA members and enjoy a continental breakfast at the New Member Orientation on December 18 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The meeting is at Schaumburg Corporate Center, 1501 E. Woodfield Rd., Conference Room A. The event is free to SBA members.
