Schaumburg Business Association announces December events

The Schaumburg, Illinois Business Association (SBA) will sponsor numerous events this December.

A Fall Entrepreneurial Update & Breakfast will be held December 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Schaumburg Corporate Center, 1501 E. Woodfield Road, in Conference Room A. Presented in collaboration with MPS Law, the event will provide information on the capital markets and business transition planning. The event is free, however it is limited to the first 50 individuals who register.

Also on December 2 is a Manufacturer's Summit at Mazak Corporation, 300 E. Commerce Drive, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Co-presented with Golden Corridor Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, the event will feature presentations by experts on the future of manufacturing. There will also be displays, a Q&A and the opportunity to network. Admission is $25 for SBA members, $35 for guests and $500 for display tables.

Business After Hours will take place December 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Prism Healthcare Services, 1337 Basswood Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to network while enjoying drinks and appetizers. The event is free for SBA members and $30 for guests.

Holiday Good Morning Schaumburg is scheduled December 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Woodfield Mall, 5 Woodfield Mall. The event will include a recap of 2015, the election of new SBA board members, breakfast and comedic relief. Admission is $25 for SBA members, $35 for guests and $150 for display tables.

Schaumburg Young Professionals meeting will be held December 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Event details, including where it will take place, will be provided soon. Admission is $15 for SBA members and $30 for guests.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Toasty Cheese location at 951 W. Wise Road is scheduled for December 10 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event is free.

Best Martini in the 'Burbs Challenge will be held December 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Drink Nightclub, 871 E. Algonquin Road. Held in collaboration with Daily Herald Media Group, the event will feature a live mix-off of the suburb's top bartenders. Admission is $15 and includes a complimentary drink, martinis samples, appetizers and a goodie bag.

New SBA Member Orientation will take place December 18 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Schaumburg Corporate Center, 1501 E. Woodfield Road in Conference Room A. Attendees will learn about SBA programs and events, member benefits and ways to make the most of a membership. Admission is free for SBA members. A continental breakfast will be provided.
