The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois board held its November meeting on the 17th.

Fire and Life Safety Educator Jim Miller presented a certificate of recognition to Eric Hoeppner for 11 years of service. Mayor Arlene Juracek thanked him for his outstanding volunteer work with the Community Emergency Response Team.

Mayor Juracek presented two proclamations. The first went to "Cents for Central School" to Principal Jennifer Heinze and Deb Rittle of Saint Paul Lutheran School, for raising money for the Central School restoration. Certificates of Participation were also presented. The second proclamation was for "Teddy Bear Walk Week" from November 29 to December 5.

Audit Committee Chair Tom Munz presented the Audit Committee's annual report for FY 2014. He also provided an overview of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

Approved items included an ordinance increasing Class F-3 liquor licenses by one, for Tokens and Tankards, 18 W. Busse Ave., and the reappointment of Robert Fisher to the Transportation Safety Commission.

The monthly financial report for October and bills from October 29 to November 11 were approved under the Consent Agenda.

Under old business the board approved setback variations at 308 S. Emerson St., allowing a sports court. New business approved items were amendments to the FY 2015 budget and a resolution to protest Special Use SU-15-08 for a truck facility at 12 Dempster St., which will be submitted to Cook County. The RFP for the elevator maintenance agreement with Otis Elevator was approved under the Village Manager's report.

The Village tree lighting will be held on November 25 at 5 p.m. The Christkindlmarket begins at 4 p.m. the same afternoon in the Community Room.
