The Mount Prospect 2016 Easy Park $30 monthly parking permits for Metra parking lots went on sale on Oct. 30.
Metra commuter parking lots now offer the Easy Park monthly parking permits as an alternative to the current choices of paying for parking daily with cash or a parking debit card at the automated pay machine. Easy Park passes are available at the Village Finance Department for $30 per month. This flat rate applies for the entire month. The parking permits may be purchased one month at a time, or for the entire year.
While an Easy Park permit does not guarantee a parking space, the commuter can park and go directly to the train without waiting in line to pay for parking. The permit must be prominently displayed on the rearview mirror, with the Village keystone facing the rear of the vehicle.
Commuters can access the Easy Park application at www.mountprospect.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=3519. Users who do not use Internet Explorer must print out the application from this link www.mountprospect.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=4024 and fill out the form by hand. Applications and a check may be submitted by mail to the Finance Department at 50 South Emerson St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056 in person at the Finance or Public Works Departments and the fee paid by cash, check or credit card, or dropped into the Finance Night Drop Box with a check.
