Village of Northbrook Zoning Board of Appeals met Sept. 29

A. Minutes for Approval - July 28, 2025

Review and approve the July 28, 2025 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting minutes.

3. PUBLIC COMMENT TIME

This agenda item is reserved for members of the public who desire to address the Public Body on a topic that is within purview and jurisdiction of the Public Body, but that is not listed in another location on the agenda. If you would like to speak about a matter that is listed on the agenda, we ask that you wait until that agenda item is called, and we will give you an opportunity to speak then. 4. PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERATION OF PETITIONS

A. DOCKET NO. ZBA25-0008 (1507 Windy Hill) – Petition by Jordan and Lauren Dubnow, for an exception to increase the height of a fence to 6’ in a corner side yard setback. The R-4 zoned property (PINs: 04-15-206-002-0000) is the site of a single-family residence. The exception has been requested to increase security and restrict access to the yard.

Homeowners, Jordan and Lauren Dubnow, request an exception to increase fence height in the corner side yard of their residence which is located within the R-4 Single Family District.

B. DOCKET NO. ZBA25-0009 (1601 Walters) – Petition by Rachael Hardy Powers, for an exception to increase the height of a fence to 5’ in a corner side yard setback. The R-5 zoned property (PIN: 04-10-319-076-0000) is the site of a single-family residence. The exception has been requested to comply with pool safety requirements as well as maintain the functionality of the yard.

Homeowner, Rachael Hardy Powers, seeks an exception to increase the height of a fence in the corner side yard of their residence which is located in the R-5 single family residential district.
