John Driscoll died June 28, 1968 in Chicago at 73. His pro career included the Cardinals and Bears. He led the NFL in scoring twice and was its first All‑Pro quarterback. He coached Marquette and the Bears. He worked in the Bears’ front office later. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1965. His career and life began in Evanston and touched football nationally.
