Village of Palatine Fire and Police Commission met Feb. 19

I. CALL TO ORDER

II. MINUTES APPROVAL

RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS]

2. Palatine Fire and Police Commission - Special Meeting - February 15, 2025 - Accepted

RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS]

MOVER: James Hader

SECONDER: Robert Falardeau

AYES: Nallen, Hader, Falardeau

ABSENT: Rossi, Nowak

III. PERSONNEL UPDATE

A. Consider a motion to accept permanent appointment of probationary police Sergeats Brown and Gratz

Moved by Commissioner Hader, and seconded by Commissioner Falardeau. All in favor. Motioned passed.

B. Consider a motion to accept permanent appointment of probationary police Officers Boone and Murphy

Moved by Commissioner Hader, and seconded by Commissioner Falardeau. All in favor. Motioned passed.

IV. CLOSED SESSION AS REQUIRED

Consider a motion requesting a closed session pursuant to 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1).

No motion was made for a closed session.

V. CONDUCT ORAL INTERVIEWS FOR POLICE OFFICER CANDIDATES

Oral interviews began at 9:00 AM. A lunch break was held from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM.

Oral interviews resumed at 3:15 PM and continued until 4:55 PM. A total of 18 police officer candidates were interviewed.

VI. CREATE ELIGIBILITY LIST

The new police officer eligibility list was created with 11 eligible candidates. It was signed by all commissioners in attendance.

VII. ADJOURNMENT

The meeting was adjourned at 5:24 PM. Moved by Nallen, and seconded by Falardeau.
