A. Demers Ambulance Purchase from MacQueen Emergency Group ($322,375)

Objective: Purchase a new ambulance to replace an ambulance deemed unrepairable after an accident.

B. 2024 Parking Lot and Alley Maintenance Program Design and Construction Engineering Services Agreement with Fehr Graham and Associates, LLC ($90,885)

Objective: Analyze, design, and prepare construction documents for the maintenance of various public parking lots and Bluff City Cemetery paths and provide field inspection, contract administration, general coordination and control of the day-to-day construction activities for the 2024 Parking Lot and Alley Maintenance Program. Initiatives and Other Items

C. Post-Lead Service Line Replacement Water Testing Services Agreement with 120Water ($113,536)

Objective: Collect lead samples from water taps at locations served by a replaced lead service line within three-to-six-months of replacement in accord with new federal regulations.

D. 2024 Bridge Rehabilitation Project – Change Order No. 1 for Bid 23-036A ($100,534)

Objective: Authorize additional funding to pay for additional construction quantities necessary to complete the 2024 Bridge Rehabilitation Project. 

E. Acceptance of Public Improvements within the Bowes Creek Country Club Phase 4A Subdivision ($25,783 Estimated Five-Year Maintenance Cost)

Objective: Fulfill the city’s obligation to maintain reliable infrastructure for serving businesses and residents.

F. AutoVu License Plate Recognition Cameras and Associated Equipment and Licenses Purchase ($61,571)

Objective: Continue expanding the Citywide Camera System (CCS) with license plate recognition cameras that will be used during investigations to identify vehicles associated with criminal activity, vehicle crashes and other public safety-related incidents.

G. Jurisdictional Boundary Agreement with the Village of Hampshire (No Cost)

Objective: Enter into a twenty-year intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Hampshire governing its boundaries with Elgin to promote intergovernmental cooperation. Special Presentations and Reports

H. Strategic Objective Planning for 2025 Budget (No Cost)

Projects and initiatives identified by city staff to meet the city council’s strategic objectives will be presented and discussed to guide the preparation of departmental decision packages that will be considered for funding in the 2025 budget.
