Mark Rice, a candidate for Illinois' Eighth Congressional District, has criticized Antony Blinken, the current Secretary of State. Rice stated, "The fool now in the Secretary spot Antony Blinken isn’t brokering any deals to help us get our citizens home." He further claimed that the Biden administration is "compromised by Iran."
"This administration is compromised by Iran," said Rice, according to Facebook. "We don't see traitor John Kerry going over to Iran anymore to broker deals behind our backs like he did like a scared puppy when Trump was in office and killed the corrupt Iran deal. The fool now in the Secretary spot Antony Blinken isn't brokering any deals to help us get our citizens home. We have Hamas sympathizers now erupting everywhere…. and this derelict Biden Administration continually showing the planet how worthless they are to world peace."
Rice's comments were made in a Facebook post on May 12, where he shared a post from Laura Ingraham displaying five men held hostage by Hamas. The shared post also included a link to an article from the Washington Times.

In his own Facebook post, Rice expanded on his statement. He included several links to an article from aei.org arguing that John Kerry deserves jail time and another link from Politico focusing on Kerry's resignation as Biden’s climate envoy. Rice said, "There needs to be a full investigation conducted into this White House and the Iranians they knowingly allowed to infiltrate it to shape this disastrous foreign policy. FYI America still needs answers as to why John Kerry who was not part of the Trump administration, cared so much about salvaging the Obama Biden corrupt Iran deal …that he went over there to coddle them (keep them quiet.) This was not a diplomacy trip it was a cover peoples butts trip. John Kerry was brought back on under Biden administration and recently resigned as the climate envoy."
According to rice4congress.com, Rice's campaign for the 8th Congressional District emphasizes key areas such as promoting economic growth, upholding fiscal responsibility, enacting tax relief, and addressing issues related to immigration reform and border security. With an impressive 35-year residency in Illinois under his belt, Rice currently serves as the CEO of Energy CX. His leadership has led a team of 70 professionals in propelling the company to national recognition in providing comprehensive energy solutions.
The incumbent representative for the 8th Congressional District is Raja Krishnamoorthi. The district covers northern Cook County, northern DuPage County, and northeast Kane County. Krishnamoorthi was first elected to Congress in 2016 and is now serving his fourth term as Illinois’ 8th District U.S. Representative, according to his website.
