Village of Wheeling Liquor Control Commission met Oct. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

1. Call to Order

Chairperson Horcher called the Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance led by Chairperson Horcher

3. Roll Call Led by Village Clerk Kathryn M. Brady

Present: Pat Horcher, Mary Papantos, Jim Ruffatto, Joe Vito

Absent: Mary Krueger, Ray Lang, Dave Vogel

Commissioners Krueger, Lang and Vogel were absent with prior notice.

4. Approval of Minutes - None

5. Citizen Concerns and Comments - None

6. New Business

A. Consideration of a Request for a Class L Liquor License from Airshare for an Event to Be Held at Atlantic Aviation at 1011 South Wolf Road on November 8, 2023 and for Events on Two Unspecified Later Dates

Clerk Brady read the title into the record. Manager Sfondilis introduced the item, read the following condition for approval: Motion to approve conditionally on the payment of all associated fees, and answered a question from the Commission.

Motion by Mary Papantos, second by Jim Ruffatto to approve with the condition as read.

Final Resolution: Motion Approved

Yes: Pat Horcher, Mary Papantos, Jim Ruffatto, Joe Vito

Absent: Mary Krueger, Ray Lang, Dave Vogel

B. Motion to Declare the Class A Liquor License Held by Buca Restaurants 2, Inc. d/b/a Buca di Beppo to Be Forfeited and Lapsed

Clerk Brady read the title into the record. Manager Sfondilis introduced the item; there were no questions from the Commission.

Motion by Jim Ruffatto, second by Mary Papantos.

Yes: Pat Horcher, Mary Papantos, Jim Ruffatto, Joe Vito

Absent: Mary Krueger, Ray Lang, Dave Vogel

7. Adjournment

Chairperson Horcher asked for a motion to adjourn.

Motion by Mary Papantos, second by Joe Vito.

Final Resolution: Motion carried by voice vote, four ayes, three absent, the meeting adjourned at 6:33 pm.
