A. Interview of Michael O’Connor for appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals term ending April 30, 2026

The Mayor introduced Michael O’Connor and stated that years ago Mike had been on the Economic Alliance prior to moving out of the country. Now that he is back, Mike would like to serve again and Mayor Hayes stated he feels Mike is a good fit for the ZBA. The Trustees thanked Mike for his willingness to serve again on a commission. A discussion ensued regarding the ZBA and how important the Commission is to the Village. It was stressed that the purpose of the ZBA is to look at things to see if they are reasonable and acceptable. Michael stated he has had some interaction with the ZBA when he had to go before them for his own residence. Michael stated he hopes to think of things from 3 angles: the perspective of a homeowner, neighborhood and Village when looking at different items brought before the ZBA.
