ADDISON, IL – On Sunday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi presented the Village of Addison with $600,000 in federal funding that he secured for local road and infrastructure improvements. The funding, which Congressman Krishnamoorthi secured through last December’s government spending package, will be used to repair College Boulevard’s road surface, replace its sidewalks, improve community access, and end the drainage issues the street’s flooding causes for the surrounding area and residents.

“Our communities depend on having safe, reliable roads but unfortunately more than two decades of damage have made College Boulevard in Addison increasingly treacherous for local drivers and pedestrians as its drainage issues continue to contribute to the flooding of the surrounding area,” said Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi. “I am proud to have secured this critical funding for these important repairs to the road, its sidewalks, and the drainage system around it. I look forward to continuing to partner with village officials to improve the safety and quality of life for our communities.”
