Village of Arlington Heights Board of Fire & Police Commission met June 20.

Chairperson Luis Ramirez-Alonso called the meeting to order at 3:00p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to interview entry level police officer candidates, review and approve the open and closed session minutes from May 15, 2023, and vote on eligibility of specific candidates.

Dean Walsh, Commissioner
Also present were: Kelly Livingston, Director of Human Resources
Greg Czernecki, Deputy Police Chief
Citizens to be heard: No one in attendance
Commissioner Lynn Szabo moved to review and approve the Open Session minutes of May 15, 2023.
Motion was seconded by Dean Walsh.

At 3:02p.m. Commissioner Luis Ramirez-Alonso moved to go into Closed Session per 5ILCS120/2(c) (1): appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees or legal counsel.
Motion was seconded by Dean Walsh.

At 5:40p.m. Commissioner Luis Ramirez-Alonso moved to end Closed Session and go to Open Session.

Commissioner Luis Ramirez-Alonso moved to disqualify applicant, candidate 6, from further consideration of employment with the Police Department pursuant to the Board of Fire and Police Commission Rule, Section 2.4 Disqualifications.

There being no further business to discuss, Commissioner Luis Ramirez-Alonso made a motion to adjourn Open Session at 5:45p.m.
