Sofia Colucci, marketing executive for Miller Lite, has deleted social media posts supporting liberal causes after backlash over her latest campaign, according to Henry Rodgers, a correspondent for the Daily Caller.
"It appears Miller Lite marketing executive Sofia Colucci has deleted her Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram accounts after this @DailyCaller story," Rodgers Tweeted.
In March, Miller Lite released an advertising campaign promoting women’s history in beer brewing and claiming that they were helping women “take back” their place in brewing by buying back old advertisement campaigns that objectified women. The campaign, called “The Good Sh#t” is reportedly the work of Colucci, a marketing executive at Miller Lite.
Rodgers wrote an article detailing several liberal posts that Colucci had made on her Facebook page in recent years on issues such as gun control, protests for George Floyd, illegal immigration and the COVID-19 vaccine. Since then, all her social media pages have gone silent and private, including her Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Rodgers tweeted about his story, “Miller Lite’s Chief Of Marketing Has Spent Years Flopping From One Liberal Cause To Another,” which featured a response from Miller Lite on the issue.
Several took to Twitter to discuss the increasing “woke” campaigns of beer brands, with Miller Lite following the recent controversy of Bud Light’s working with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Influencer Ian Miles Cheong tweeted, “Miller Lite said to Bud Light,' “hold my beer' and decided to create a new ad campaign straight out of early 2010s 'I hate all men' feminism to sell a drink to customers they hate.”
Paul Szypula agreed with the sentiment, saying “Molson Coors is now facing a boycott that’ll cost it billions.”
Colucci, who is originally from Uruguay before moving to Canada as a child, is married to Jonathan Krieger, who is a Chief Revenue Officer at Vertical Acres, according to his LinkedIn, Sheridan Road magazine reported. The two purchased their $1.4 million home in Glencoe in 2020. Krieger made multiple $100 donations to Biden’s campaign in 2020, although Colucci is not registered to vote.
