Northwestern Set For January NAC
The Northwestern University fencing team will send a strong contingent of 16 student-athletes to the USA Fencing's January North American Cup (NAC). Set for January 6-9 inside the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky., the January NAC is part of a circuit to qualify to represent Team USA.
The Wildcats are slated to compete in Junior (Under-20) and Division I (Senior) events during the four-day meet. A full schedule can be found below.
Northwestern enjoyed a strong showing at the December NAC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Foilists Yejine Lee (10th) and Rowan Park (24th) both earned top-25 finishes in the Division I section, while Park also picked up a 19th-place finish in the Junior section.
Karen Wang carried the banner for the 'Cats in the Division I women's epee, placing 23rd overall.
After returning from Louisville, Northwestern will be back in action on Sunday, January 15 at the Tufts Invitational in Medford, Mass.
