Eagles Nearly Complete Historic Comeback in 83-78 Loss to St. Xavier

The Judson University Men's Basketball Team went on an 8-0 run the game's final 90 seconds to pull a double-digit deficit down to two points. Judson had a chance to tie the game with seconds remaining on the clock when Javaris Wiggins shot a three-point attempt from the top of the key. Despite there being contact, there was no foul called and the Eagles' comeback attempt finished up just short as Judson fell to St. Xavier 83-78.

The Eagles shot 11-24 from behind the three-point arc. Leonard Wilson was 5-10 from downtown to finish with 17 points and added two assists, two rebounds, and two steals. Jack Keller was 3-5 from downtown and scored 19 points and added two rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Javaris Wiggins scored 13 points and added two steals, an assist, and a rebound. Anterrious Rhyan nearly finished with a double-double as he scored 11 points and added eight rebounds, eight assists, and a steal. Bryton Bissainthe scored 10 points and added six rebounds, along with a steal off the bench.

"The first half was the best we've played this season. We really struggled in the second from letting our man get to the paint," said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "21 turnovers is too much to beat any team. We will regroup and be better after the break."

Judson (1-7, 1-3 CCAC) faces Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee on November 30.
