Judson Bowling Teams Place 2nd and 3rd at Boilermaker Classic

This past weekend the Judson Eagles had another strong showing as we competed at the Boilermaker Classic in Lafayette Indiana.

On the Women's Varsity side the Lady Eagles ended with a 2nd place finish. Freshman standout Paige Carpenter made her 2nd All-tournament team finishing 2nd with a 198.8 average, she also was 100% on single pins for the weekend at 21 for 21. Sophomore Chloe Siezega made her first All-tournament team of the season finishing 3rd and averaging 195.6 for the weekend as well as a single pin percentage of 92.5%. This was also the best performance in recent memory for the Baker portion of the event where the ladies averaged 191 as a team. Freshman standout Demi Kontos also had another solid weekend averaging 180 and had a multipin percentage of 80.77%. Other contributors to Ladies Varsity were Junior Tina Tindall (175.5 average), Neena Dingillo (163 average), and Marisa Garcia (147.67 average).

On the Women's JV side the Lady Eagles defended their title from a year ago coming away with the Championship. Led by Sophomore Michele Chancey who had a 186.40 average for the weekend as well as a single pin percentage of 95.45%. Sophomore Brandy Stewart also had a solid weekend with a multipin conversion rate of 65.22%. Other contributors were Sophomore Kaitlynn Pillion with a multipin percentage of 62.50%. Sophomore Kaylee Mann finished with a single-pin spare percentage of 79.17%, Freshman Darian Mobley with a 70% single-pin percentage, and Sydney Melton had her best tournament to date.

On the Men's Varsity side the Eagles came away with a 3rd place finish. Sophomore standout Jimmy Kontos led the way and was Tournament MVP with an astounding 232.2 average and also gave him his first All-Tournament team he also had a strike % of over 60%. Senior Blaine Hunt finished just outside the top 5 finishing 6th with a 217.4 average and a fill percentage of 85.67%. Sophomore standout Owen Farish also had a solid weekend averaging 212.6. Other contributors on the weekend were Freshman Alex Kouvelas with a 90% single pin %. Sophomore Sebastian Beth with a 93.3% single pin %, Avery Evans (75% on single pins), Tom Antonson (85.71% on single pins), and Brandon Beto (75% on single pins).

On the Men's JV side they were able to come away with a top-10 finish. Led by freshman standout Phillip Heuser who after a slow start made a major comeback to average 194.4 for the weekend. Freshman standout Griffin Roake averaged 189 for the weekend and was able to be PERFECT on single pins when he went 17 for 17 on the weekend while also carrying a 71% multipin percentage. Anthony Gutierrez had a solid weekend averaging 176 and a 75% multipin spare percentage. Freshman standout Derrick Robinson Jr also contributed with leadership of the team while averaging 172.2. Other contributors were Freshman And Cabezudo (70% on Single pins), Matthew Sipes (75% on Single Pins), Connor Richmond (71% on Single Pins), and Aaron Paige who was a vocal leader throughout the weekend

We need to keep the momentum going as we head into November where we will be competing at the Leatherneck Classic in the Quad Cities on November 11-13.
