House Republican Majority has issued the following press release:

Des Plaines, IL- The Metropolitan Alliance of Police Chapter 240 representing Des Plaines Police Patrol Officers strongly endorses Michael Lupo for State Representative in the 55th House District.

“We are proud to endorse a candidate who supports the values we stand for: safe communities, safe schools, and dignity and respect for all people,” the organization stated in an endorsement letter of Lupo.

“I admire the hard-working men and women who serve and protect our communities, day in and day out, despite the current political environment and policies that are trying to handcuff them and not criminals. It is an honor to have their endorsement and I’m grateful for the difficult job they do in protecting our families,” said Michael Lupo, candidate for State Representative.

Lupo has been a strong advocate against the dangerous ‘SAFE-T Act’ and has vowed to repeal the legislation if elected.

“With crime on the rise and families increasingly fearing for their safety, officers need leaders in Springfield who are providing them with the resources and training necessary to combat crime and ensure that we recruit and retain the best officers in the nation. I will always be a strong supporter of law enforcement and look forward to being their voice in state government.”

Michael Lupo is a small business owner and active member of his community. He and his wife Melissa grew up and currently reside in Park Ridge with their two children.
