Looking for their first conference win, Judson came out victorious with a quick 3-0 match against Roosevelt (25-20, 25-17, 25-22). There was a large crowd turnout for the Eagles which made the game more intense.
Kills were plentiful in the match as Alyssa Gerzel lead the Eagles with 11 followed by Carolina Cosme with 8. The trio of Brielle Wilkins, Emmaline Davey, and Lindsay Paulson all had 6 of their own. In addition to their efforts in attack, Davey, Cosme, and Wilkins protected the net well with one block each.
Total digs were across the board as Brielle Wilkins led with 10, Libero Kenia Diaz Vega, and Carolina Cosme both with 8. The Eagles starting setter for the match Yomailis Fernandez was able to contribute 30 assists along side five digs.
Judson competes next at the Aquinas/Cornerstone Invite this weekend in Grand Rapids, MI.
