Village of Streamwood Village Board met Aug. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER

President Roth called the workshop to order at 6:45 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Trustee Mary Thon Present

Trustee Larry Schmidt Present

Trustee Michael Baumer Present

Trustee James Cecille Present

President Billie D. Roth Present

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

Also present: Village Manager Sharon Caddigan and Assistant Manager Lisa Scheiner; Village Attorney Adam R. Durkin; Community Development Director Jeff Harris; Finance Director Josh Peacock and Assistant Director Lori Frankenthor; Fire Chief Chris Clark, Deputy Chief Mike Meyer and Battalion Chief Joe Markowski; IT Director Joe Ritter; Police Chief Daryl Syre, and Deputy Chiefs Josh Norum and Shawn Taylor; Public Works Director Matt Mann, Assistant Director Scott Nielsen and Lead Foreman Brian Spaid; Streamwood Oaks Golf Club representative Tom Schneider.

Executive Service Corps representatives Jim Norman and Lance Hoxie; GINKGO Planning and Design representatives Ferhat Zerin and Perry Georgopoulos; Confluence (landscape architect and design) representatives Doug Pettay and Tadhg Barlow.

The Village Board is meeting for a Workshop with staff for the following: Review of 2022 Goals and Objectives and Plans for 2023

Department Updates

Mr. Norman and Mr. Hoxie reviewed and discussed the survey and interview responses about the progress on the 2022 Goals and thoughts for future planning. Ms. Zarin and Mr. Georgopoulos discussed and sought input regarding development ideas for property parcels at Schaumburg Road Route 59 (northeast corner), West Irving Park Rd (rear parcel on northwest corner) and Kollar Park.

A recess was taken from 7:55 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Mr. Pettay and Mr. Barlow displayed and reviewed a number of projects and designs and discussed potential ideas for space and programming at Kollar Park.

PUBLIC COMMENT

ADJOURN

Trustee Baumer moved to adjourn. Trustee Cecille seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Board adjourned the Workshop at 9: p.m.
