The Judson University Baseball Team lost both ends of a doubleheader on Wednesday as St. Xavier defeated Judson 3-0 and 9-3.
In the opener, Judson had five hits in the ballgame. Timothy Ellinger had two hits, while Cam Pauly, Tommy Moran, and Adam Zeratsky had one hit apiece for Judson. Brandon Callender threw a quality start as he allowed three earned runs on four hits while striking out nine and walking none.
In the second game, Judson scored three late runs as JJ Brennan had an RBI single in the sixth inning, while Connor Wiegman hit a homer in the seventh. Dayne Frederick had an RBI single in the eighth to conclude Judson's scoring. Weigman led Judson with two hits, while Frederick, Ellinger, Moran, Alec Spang, Pauly, and Benjamin Nelson had hits for Judson. Greg Boyce did not allow an earned run in four innings of relief.
Judson (16-26, 14-14 CCAC) is now off until Monday when the Eagles face Indiana South-Bend in North Central Indiana.
