Taub urged to resign after cursing out parent: ‘Wear the mask on your f***ing balls!’

Glenbrook High School District 225 School board member Joel Taub is being urged to resign by community members after screaming at and trying to get a man who said he has a mask exemption ejected from a public meeting.

"Wear the mask on your f***ing balls!" Taub said to the man. "If you don’t wear the f***ing mask, you get the f*** out of here!

The speaker, identified only as Mark, was trying to begin a speech when the committee moderator asked him to put on his mask.

"I’m sorry, sir, sir, you need you to put on your mask," the moderator said.

Mark said he had a medical condition that left him unable to use a mask.

Taub commented after the man was granted a pass after he said he had a medical exemption.

The incident occurred at a Glenbrook High School District 225 Education Committee meeting.

The 225 school board has a colorful history concerning how it has treated the community in the latter part of the pandemic.

Glenbrook 225 board member Marcelo Sztainberg compared unvaccinated students to "knife-wielders, the intoxicated."

In the next meeting, after facing backlash from parents, the public comment section of a school board meeting disappeared from the recording placed on YouTube with the note, "technical difficulties that led to a partial recording."

"Stay classy, Glenbrook High School District 225 School Board member Joel Taub!" Northfield Township Republican Organization said in a Facebook post.

Taub ran unopposed in the 2019 election.

"The cure for ignorance is education!" Taub posted on his Twitter profile.

Staff at Distrct 225 were notified the school is going mask optional on Friday, a source told North Cook News.
