Report: Community Consolidated School District 62 School District spent $20,063 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Community Consolidated School District 62 was up 21 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,578 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $20,063 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,810 to 4,447 students over the same period.

Community Consolidated School District 62's spending in 2019-20 was 38.4 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
