Report: Kenilworth School District spent $26,586 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Kenilworth School District 38 was up 22.5 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $21,703 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $26,586 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 485 to 471 students over the same period.

Kenilworth's spending in 2019-20 was 83.5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
