Report: Mount Prospect School District spent $11,488 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mount Prospect School District 57 was up 7.7 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $10,663 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,488 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 2,229 to 2,319 students over the same period.

Mount Prospect's spending in 2019-20 was 20.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
