Report: Niles Township School District spent $27,459 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Niles Township Community High School District 219 was up 17.6 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $23,353 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $27,459 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,726 to 4,592 students over the same period.

Niles Township's spending in 2019-20 was 89.5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
