Report: Schaumburg School District spent $14,272 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Schaumburg Community Consolidated School District 54 was up 6.4 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,417 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,272 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 14,552 to 15,511 students over the same period.

Schaumburg's spending in 2019-20 was 1.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
