Arlington Heights’ Troyer named CCIW diver of the week

Hersey High graduate and Arlington Heights native Jack Troyer of the Illinois Wesleyan Diving team was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Diver of the Week Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Troyer, a mathematics major, achieved two personal- bests in IWU’s dual with Augustana this past weekend. His point total on the 1 meter was a 245.30 which is a 24-point increase over his previous best. He achieved a 231.80 on 3 meter which is 29-points higher than his previous best.

Troyer is a 2020 graduate of Hersey, where he won two letters in diving for Coach Dick Mortensen and two letters in gymnastics. Hersey placed third at state in swimming and diving his senior year. His parents are Gregory and Patrice Troyer of Arlington Heights.
