In honor of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11/2001, the Village's Veterans Memorial Commission will be holdings it annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on September 11 in the Veterans Memorial at 7:00 pm. Please join us as we recall the bravery of first responders, who aided the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks.
Our Fire Department will also hold a remembrance ceremony, at each station, starting at 8:58 am on September 11.
PHOENIX LAKE CLEANUP
Our Natural Resource Conservancy Commission will be holding its annual Phoenix Lake Cleanup day on Saturday, September 18. The purpose of this cleanup is to remove debris and invasive species.
Phoenix Lake is located behind Walmart along Phoenix Lake Avenue. Look for the welcome tent by Ramblewood Drive to get all the supplies you'll need. Enjoy a donut, and help us protect our waterways!
The Cleanup runs from 8:00-11:00 am. For more information, please contact Alex at ariegler@streamwood.org or (630) 736-3850.
