Event Name: I Care for You: Holistic and Trauma-informed response training for Staff, Faculty and Student Leaders
Survivors of sexual violence are most likely to confide in friends and trusted staff and faculty members. You may be the first person that they tell about an incidence of sexual assault, harassment, relationship violence or stalking. By educating yourself and following some simple guidelines, you can effectively support student survivors!!. . This training will help you:. . 1) Understanding nature of sexual violence in college setting. . 2) Understanding impact on trauma. . 3) Learning active listening and basic safety plan to support survivors. . 4) Exploring restorative justice approach to understand people who caused harm.. . 5) Learning on-campus resources to further support yourself and survivors
