MOUNT PROSPECT PARK DISTRICT: It’s Time to Protect Our Parks

Park 10

Mount Prospect Park District recently issued the following announcement.

The Spring season brings sunshine, warmer temperatures and more residents outside enjoying the Mt. Prospect Park District’s 27 neighborhood parks.

The District places great value on the quantity, unique qualities and superb offerings of each of our parks. Their natural beauty should never be spoiled by any intentionally destructive act. Unfortunately, inconsiderate and illegal acts, such as vandalism, can spoil the park experience for all ages.

Protect Our Parks! You can help the District by serving as the eyes and ears of your neighborhood park. If you see vandalism happening, call 9-1-1. If you discover damaged property, reach out to the Park District and our team will begin clean up and repair. Our staff takes pride in delivering well-maintained, safe open spaces each and every day!

It really takes a village to protect our parks, and to keep them clean and green! A special “thank you” to the organizers and volunteers of MP Clean. This grassroots group, organized on Facebook, put on masks and gloves, grabbed trash bags and collected litter around four Mount Prospect locations, including Lions and Busse Parks.

If you have any questions or concerns about your neighborhood park, please reach out at mppd.org/park-district-info/contact-us
