Village of South Barrington Police Commission met Nov. 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

CALL TO ORDER 

Chairwoman Shireesha Carse called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M.

ROLL CALL 

Members Present: Members Absent:

Chairwoman Dr. Shireesha Carse and Commissioner Neal Patel Commissioner Kenneth Michonski Police Chief Thomas Roman

Staff Present:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Chairwoman Carse requested approval of the minutes from the November 2, 2020 meeting. Commissioner Patel made a motion to approve the minutes of the Police Commission Meeting for November 2, 2020. Seconded by Chairwoman Carse. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Chairwoman Carse invited members of the public to address the committee. Hearing none, the meeting proceeded with the published agenda items. 

OLD BUSINESS

Chairwoman Carse asked if there was any old business to discuss. Hearing none, the meeting proceeded with the published agenda items. 

NEW BUSINESS 

Chairwoman Carse requested we begin the Police Candidate Interviews. 

EXECUTIVE SESSION to consider Appointment, Employment and Compensation Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1). 

Commissioner Patel made a motion to go into closed session for the purposes of conducting initial interviews with police candidates at 7:12 P.M. Seconded by Chairwoman Carse. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Commissioner Patel made a motion to go into the Open Session at 9:46 P. M. Seconded by Chairwoman Carse. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

OTHER BUSINESS

Chairwoman Carse asked if there was any old business to discuss. Hearing none, the meeting proceeded with the published agenda items.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Commissioner Patel moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:47 P.M. Chairwoman Carse seconded. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
