“I know why Biden is preaching reconciliation But 30 % of country that Are nazi - are enemies,” actor John Cusack said in a tweet.
That was just one in a series of tweets the Evanston-raised Cusack volleyed out over the weekend.
Projected President-elect Joe Biden won Evanston with over 90% of the vote.
This is not the first time the actor, a self-proclaimed member of the Democratic Socialists of America, has expressed extreme views.
Last year, Cusack was accused of anti-semitism for retweeting “follow the money” along with the retweet of a Star of David crushing a group of people, and a quote about not being allowed to level criticism. The quote apparently originated with a neo-Nazi.
Cusack’s fall within Hollywood’s hierarchy has been noted.
In the past decade, nearly half of Cusack’s films have not been released in theaters.
Cusack was a noted Bernie Sanders supporter. He co-authored a book revolving around a conversation he and others had with Edward Snowden and is a contributing writer for the Huffington Post.
