1. Consider an Ordinance Granting a Minor Special Use to Allow a Pergola at 695 W. Dorset Avenue - Motion Carried by Voice Vote (Council District: Two)

Planning & Zoning Director Ben Vyverberg presented and recommended approval of a Minor Special Use to permit a pergola to be located 5 feet from the house, instead of the minimum required 10 feet.

RESULT: MOTION CARRIED BY VOICE VOTE [UNANIMOUS]

Planning & Zoning Director Ben Vyverberg presented and recommended approval of the Special Use transfer to Rock & Roll Laundromat (without food service) at 1550 N. Rand Road.

In response to Councilman Solberg, Vyverberg explained the 24 hours of operation requires the Special Use permit.

Planning & Zoning Director Ben Vyverberg presented and recommended the assignment of the existing License Agreement for fencing in the right-of-way, subject to review by the Village Attorney.

Deputy Village Manager Mike Jacobs proposed Trick-or-Treating between 3 PM and 7 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2020 and recommended lighting and/or participation signage (available to print from the Village website) and adhering to IDPH guidelines: COVID-19 compliant mask or face covering (not a costume mask) and social distancing of 6 feet.

Public Works Director Matt Barry presented and recommended authorizing the Village Manager to execute the proposal from Lake Cook Exteriors Inc. for window replacement at Fire Station 85, in the amount not to exceed $23,380.

RESULT: APPROVED BY VOICE VOTE [UNANIMOUS]
