Lincolnwood Fire District responded to 513 calls in 2018 - 50 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Lincolnwood included 26 fires - five structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 14 other fires. The fire department also responded to five calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $258,500 in fire loss - or about $9,942 per fire.

The department also received 482 false calls, including one malicious call and 481 other false calls.
