Glencoe Park District issued the following announcement on July 15.
Hop on over to the Park District on Saturday, August 1 for our first-ever Summer Egg Hunt! This pop-up event will take place across five parks - West Park, Shelton Park, Kalk Park, Watts Park, and Lakefront Park beginning at 10 AM. Each park will have just under 2,000 plastic eggs filled with peanut-free candy to find. All kids are welcome to come to any one of the parks and look for eggs until all are claimed.
No registration is required. Families will be asked to be mindful of social distancing rules and limit the number of eggs collected to 15 per child. In the event of rain, the event will take place on Sunday, August 9.
In the evening, staff will collect any remaining plastic eggs and recycle them for next year and/or craft projects.
