Analysis: Buffalo Grove pays $3.79 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Buffalo Grove Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.7 percent of the $3,391,481 the Buffalo Grove Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.79 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Buffalo Grove contributed $2,668,632 to the fund, which saw a $117,209 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $703,230, or 20.7 percent, in 2018. Another $19,619 came from other unspecified sources.
