Analysis: Palatine pays $3.69 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palatine Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.7 percent of the $5,490,555 the Palatine Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.69 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palatine contributed $4,322,198 to the fund, which saw a $398,761 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,168,307, or 21.3 percent, in 2018. Another $50 came from other unspecified sources.
