Analysis: Prospect Heights pays $2.78 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Prospect Heights FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.1 percent of the $532,336 the Prospect Heights FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.78 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Prospect Heights contributed $389,235 to the fund, which saw a $41,512 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $139,819, or 26.3 percent, in 2018. Another $3,282 came from other unspecified sources.
