Analysis: South Barrington pays $9.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Barrington Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 90.2 percent of the $1,464,529 the South Barrington Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $9.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Barrington contributed $1,321,405 to the fund, which saw a $593,779 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $143,124, or 9.8 percent, in 2018.
