Analysis: Streamwood pays $4.07 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Streamwood Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.3 percent of the $2,205,772 the Streamwood Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.07 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Streamwood contributed $1,771,233 to the fund, which saw a $34,911 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $434,539, or 19.7 percent, in 2018.
