GLENCOE PARK DISTRICT: Restore Illinois Phase 4 Changes: Playgrounds and Splashpad Open!

Mesa

Glencoe Park District issued the following announcement on June 26.

The State of Illinois has allowed the Park District to open playgrounds. The parks team will be out early Saturday, June 27, removing barriers throughout the day. Patrons should remember that playgrounds are limited to no more than 50 people, patrons should use the playground at their own risk, use hand sanitizer before and after use, and practice social distancing from non-family members while playing. Face-coverings are recommended.

An additional Restore Illinois Phase 4 change is the reopening of the Takiff registration desk on Monday, July 6 for walk-in service. Visitors who enter the building are required to wear a mask and maintain a 6 ft. distance from others.

The Glencoe Fitness Center in Takiff will also open on July 6 with some modifications and new safety protocols, including requiring reservations to work out. Click here for more information.

We suggest guests continue to access Park District services online and opt to call or e-mail the Park District with questions during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Additionally, we recommend checking out our new July classes, clinics, and half-day camps to keep active and have fun this summer.
