Evanston Township High School District 202 issued the following announcement on May 21.
The latest issue of ETHS student-produced MULE (Magazine of Untaught Languages at ETHS) was released this month. The MULE staff wrapped up the magazine’s second year by devoting the issue to global and personal stories of how ETHS students and their extended families--many of them in other countries--are coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. Articles are written in Norwegian, Urdu, Romanian, and several other languages, side-by-side with their English translations.
The MULE is a publication created by students who speak languages that are not taught at ETHS. It is a platform for students to share their culture, give ETHS students an outlet to learn about their fellow schoolmates, and celebrate diversity in our community.
