ILLINOIS STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 55: Moylan to Host Museums in the Park Registration Session

55

Illinois State House District 55 issued the following announcement on Jan. 7

State Rep. Marty Moylan, D- Des Plaines, is announcing he will host a Museums in the Park registration session, signing up residents to enjoy many of Chicago’s renowned institutions with complimentary general admission. This session will take place on Jan. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Elk Grove Village Public Library, located at 1001 Wellington Ave. in Elk Grove Village.

“The education program offered by Museums in the Park is terrific and allows more people to take advantage of the vast knowledge and experiences found at these institutions,” Moylan said. “I want to help as many residents as I can experience these museums, zoos, cultural centers and more without worry of the cost.”

Museums in the Park is a coalition of Chicago-area museums in association with the Chicago Park District. In collaboration with the State of Illinois, they offer complimentary general admission for individuals and up to three guests to more than a dozen of Chicagoland’s centers of art, science, history, nature and culture. At this registration session, residents will be able to sign up for a day to use state Rep. Moylan’s Constituent Education Resource Card for free general admission at the institution of their choosing. Requests will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

“This wonderful program is unfortunately underutilized,” Moylan said. “I would like the residents to be aware of these opportunities so more of them can take advantage of the great institutions in our area.”

For more information about this registration session or about Museums in the Park, please contact Moylan’s full-time constituent service office at 847-635-6821 or email StateRepMoylan@gmail.com.
