Village of Streamwood Village Board met Nov. 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

President Roth called the Public Hearing to order at 6:36 p.m.

President Billie D. Roth Present

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the Village Board to receive public testimony in reference to the proposed fiscal year 2020 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget.

The Budget as proposed by Village Staff has been and will continue to be available for inspection in the Village Clerk's office.

This hearing may be adjourned to another date without further notice other than a motion to be entered upon the minutes of this meeting fixing the time and place of its adjournment.

All interested parties are invited to sign in for the purpose of providing testimony.

Notice of this Public Hearing for the 2020 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget was published on November 13, 2019, in the Streamwood Examiner.

No written testimony has been received; no one present has signed in to provide testimony.

Finance Director Josh Peacock stated the Village’s Goals and Objectives directs the budget plan for 2020 and coming years. The Village works to keep the tax rate low and still provide consistent and quality services to the residents. The proposed 2020 Budget includes the replacement of Fire Station #31 (Park Blvd.) and expansion and renovation to the Public Works facilities, a 2 year freeze on water/sewer rates and work on bike paths and connections throughout the Village.

Trustee Cecille confirmed the $18M in Capital Replacement Fund is the bond issuance for the fire station and public works buildings.

Trustee Baumer moved to adjourn. Trustee Cecille seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Village Board adjourned the Public Hearing at 6:40 p.m.
