City of Evanston issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
Artist Blessing Hancock, procured through a call for artists process by the City of Evanston working in partnership with the City's Arts Council, will create a public art installation for the new Robert Crown Community Center and is seeking public input to be incorporated into the design.
The art installation is expected to feature an interactive sculptural shape with etched words that embody the themes of learning, recreation, and community within the context of the Evanston community. Blessing will attend three community events to meet with residents and gather public input on what words should be included in her design.
