Skokie home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Skokie fell by $750 while total sales decreased by 16.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 374 homes sold, with a median sale price of $313,500 - a 0.2% decrease over the $314,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 450 homes sold in Skokie in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Skokie for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $5,818, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
