Wilmette home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Wilmette fell by $87,500 while total sales decreased by 16.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 218 homes sold, with a median sale price of $612,500 - a 12.5% decrease over the $700,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 261 homes sold in Wilmette in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Wilmette for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $12,277, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
