Elgin (Cook County) home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Elgin in Cook County rose by $7,000 while total sales increased by 5.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 109 homes sold, with a median sale price of $187,000 - a 3.9% increase over the $180,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 103 homes sold in Elgin in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Elgin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $4,355, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
